Biking 2 Days Iliniza & Cotopaxi
Day 1 -. Quito - Ilinizas
After breakfast, we drive to Pastocalle, located on the slope of Ilinizas Mountains that are located in the western Andean region and a half hour drive from Quito. The Illinizas is where rivers are born to finally end in the Pacific Ocean. Our cycling will start at 3.900mts ending in 2.900mt. We will begin pedaling through the wilderness, in a dirt road that crosses the valley and reaches the small town of Chaupi. During the tour enjoy a wonderful landscape where we see el Corazon, Ilinizas; north and south, Sincholahua and other volcanoes surrounding these valleys. Our adventure will take us to the base of the Illinizas. We continue our cycling along the old railroad going through some stations, farmland and small colonial towns, lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight Chaupi.

Día 2 -. El Chaupi - Cotopaxi
8:30 am Departure by car after breakfast, we take the Pan-American Highway to the Cotopaxi National Park. As we cross the Avenue of the Volcanoes enjoy beautiful landscapes characteristic of the Andean Region and some snowy peaks and smaller as: Pasochoa, Rumiñahui, Illinizas North and South, etc.
Pedaling starts + - at 10:30 a.m. to 4.600mts. We'll have a little chat about the equipment and basic techniques for the descent. We begin the descent to Pre-Inca ruins Salitre (15 km walk + -) where we enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch and a break we continue our journey through the north face of Cotopaxi National Park to reach El Pedregal (15km + -) on the way you can see wild horses, llamas and maybe a couple of foxes. The program will finish around 16:00. Return to Quito
