Climbing the Ecuadorian Andes

The Andean Region is a great attraction for mountaineers and any kind of traveler that enjoys nature, incredible landscapes, different cultures, friendly people, ancient history, colonial cities and a pleasant weather most of the year. You can experience the authentic culture and essence of this marvelous land while practicing or learning how to climb.
Most of the Andean picks go from easy to hard and technical routes and invite the inexperienced to savor the personal reward of summing high Andean mountain peaks. Climbers can choose from 10 mountains over 500mts to try their expertise.

We have several climbing packages to offer but we can also provide tailored mountain climbing programs for beginners or advanced climbers according to their interests.

The main peaks along the Andean Valley of the Volcanoes are over 5000m, though there are lower peaks that can also provide challenging day outings.  All Climbing Programs go from 3 to 16 days including acclimatization a must if you have in mind to conquest Cotopaxi's and Chimborazo's summits this, will give you a unique experience in life.

We climb all the mountains in Ecuador the mos required are: Cotopaxi North 5.897mts and South Face, Altar 5.320 mts, Antizana5.704 mts, Chimborazo 6.310 mts, Cayambe 5.790 mts, Ilinizas North 5.116 mts and South Face 5.305 mts; as well as other peaks around the continent. We organize expeditions to: Peru, Bolivia, Argentina (Aconcagua), Alaska (Mount Makinley) Mount Everest among other destinations.

For all climbing programs we suggest you bring:
Plastic boots, harness, crampons, ice ax, sleeping bag, large and small backpack, rainy and warm clothes, hiking shoes, cap, gloves, (head lamp) with spare batteries, sunscreen, sunglasses,  camera.

Rafael also has guided and organized International expeditions in: Pamir, Peru,
Bolivia, Argentina, The Alps, Pirineos, Alaska and the Himalayas.
On 2013, Rafael and Patricio Tisalema climbed Aconcagua, Manaslu and Shisha- Pangma
as part of their training to climb Mount Everest without oxygen in one day.
Rafael has climbed the Everest two times In the last 4 years.
