1D Hike/Bike Cotopaxi National Park
Cotopaxi National Park is a protected area from a height of 3.200mts to 5.897mts, it has four climatic zones: Andean forest, wilderness, altiplano and Glaze. Cotopaxi is one of the highest and most famous mountains of Ecuador, its almost perfect conical is well known internationally.
We leave the hotel after breakfast. As we head south on the Pan American we will observe the Avenue of the Volcanoes, enjoying a wonderful view of some of the snowy peaks nearby, such as: Pasochoa, Rumiñahui, North and South Illinizas, etc. Estimated time to reach Cotopaxi National Park drive is 1:30 minutes (60km)
In the park, observe the wildlife, we stop at the Museum for a short visit, then continue to the parking lot, go for a short walk and then continue to the parking area 4.600mts. From here, we walk to the refuge José Ribas for about 45 minutes. At the shelter we will rest and then return to the parking lot where we take the bikes and descend to Limpiopungo. In the afternoon return to Quito.
