BIKING OTAVALO 3.100MTS

Otavalo Valley is located north of Quito, at the foot of "Taita Imbabura" Volcano, it is surrounded by lakes and hills covered with incredible green carpets of cornfields. Otavalo is known worldwide as one of the largest indigenous markets in Latin America. Its market fair is like a holiday full of brightly colored textiles that exhibit the skills of local weavers which take pride in their fabrics and crafts.
After breakfast, we will head north on the Pan-American highway heading to Otavalo city crossing indigenous villages enjoying amazing scenarios and a wonderful view of Lake San Pablo and Peguche's waterfall. There will be some traffic at the starting point. Cycling will start on a 3rd order road, following an old train route Cayambe - Otavalo. We will ride on dirt and rocks.
The ride will cover 35 km of incredible vegetation cycling that will end at the market. Lunch. Return to Quito after lunch.
