MINDO CLOUD FOREST 

The area known as Mindo – which encompasses the watersheds of the rivers Tandayapa, Nambillo, and Mindo – is world-renowned as one of the most bird-diverse corners of the planet. Activities to enjoy in this excellent playground area for lovers of the great outdoors include bird watching, trekking and camping, visits to orchid aria and butterfly farms, and horseback riding. We offer rappelling and cannoning down waterfalls, tubing (sitting in a truck-size inner tube as the river carries you effortlessly downriver) and, further downstream, white-water rafting and kayaking.

We will depart after breakfast going north from Quito. On our way, we will admire amazing changes in vegetation and weather until we get to Mindo in the Cloud forest. We will visit the waterfalls enjoying the natural forest, crystalline rivers, and more than 400 exotic species of birds, butterflies, and orchids. After lunch, we will engage in an exciting canopy adventure. Once we finish our canopying, we will return to Quito.
